CATALYSTS FOR DEEP OXIDATION OF HYDROCARBONS
Purpose of the development:
For use in the systems of catalytic purification of waste gases from hydrocarbon impurities, as well as for the combustion of gaseous hydrocarbon fuel in industrial and domestic catalytic heat generators.
Recommended application field:
Chemical, petrochemical, metallurgical industry.
Technical characteristic:
- appearance - fireproof ceramic blocks of honeycomb structure (cordierite, kaolin-aerosil) with a catalytic coating;
- the content of the active component (oxides of MP or Co) - 3-7 wt.%;
- stable activity (100% conversion of CH4 is achieved at a temperature of 650-750 ° C) in the reaction of deep oxidation of methane during repeated cycles of work in the laboratory;
- thermal resistance (up to 900 ° C).
Advantages over analogues:
In comparison with the known analogues, it has better adhesion of the secondary carrier (Al2O3, ZrO2) to the block material, reduced cost due to the absence of noble metals in the composition, lower consumption of the active component due to its uniform distribution on the surface of the secondary carrier, higher mechanical strength (up to 50 MPa) and fire resistance.
