COOLING SYSTEM OF THE PRODUCT IN THE TECHNOLOGICAL SCHEME OF CHEMICAL MANUFACTURE


Purpose of the development: The development is designed to cool the product during the formation of granules in the production of granular mineral fertilizers, which provides a significant improvement in their quality.

Recommended application field: Chemical production, in particular of granular mineral fertilizers, including ammonium nitrate.

Technical characteristic: - product temperature (granular mineral fertilizers) - 28-30 ° C; - air flow rate, which is cooled, - 4x55000 m3 / h; - reduction of product loss - 50%; - type of coolant - liquid ammonia (T = 268 K, P = 0.5 MPa (abs.); - refrigerant costs - 5.0 ... 5.5 t / h; - cooling capacity of the unit - 3126 kW; - productivity on the cooled product - 1500 tons / day; - dimensions (air handling unit) - 4.2х4.0х2.8 m.

Advantages over analogues: Domestic scientists have developed an improved method of conditioning granulated mineral fertilizers and a system for its implementation by using pre-cooled coolant for cooling the outside air and introducing new structural components, which allows them to be used under any conditions, that is, provides versatility, improved environmental safety and quality of granulated mineral fertilizers.

Technological failures in the production of granular mineral fertilizers often occur due to improper cooling of the product during the formation of granules. The situation is complicated by the fact that objectively in today's conditions, the outside air temperature often exceeds the design-calculated one than it is equal to. In addition, the relative humidity of the air sometimes reaches 60 ... 70%, the initial flow of liquid reflux of the product has a temperature of 100 ... 120 ° C. At the exit from the granulation tower after the fluidized bed apparatus, the product temperature can reach 30 ... 35 ° С, and the moisture content in the product is 15 ... 20%. This leads to the "sticking together" of the granules during storage and in fact to the loss of both the presentation and the product, and ultimately to unforeseen additional expenses of the primary raw material - nitric acid and ammonia. Pre-cooling of the product will ensure its stability during storage, reducing losses. The Ukrainian Academy has developed a technology for the conditioning of granulated mineral fertilizers, which provides for the simultaneous cooling of the granules and their drying, while the cooling and drying of the granules is carried out in an air flow previously cooled to 13 ... 15 ° C. Pre-cooling of the air is carried out with ammonia throttled to a temperature of 0 ... 8 ° C, which is then sent to the implementation of the technological process of production of granular mineral fertilizers. The conditioning system of granulated mineral fertilizers contains an air treatment unit, a centrifugal fan and a pump, an absorption lithium bromide refrigeration machine, and a heat and heat exchanger.
