TRANSFER OF INNOVATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES

PULSE STERILIZER FOR TREATMENT OF OBJECTS OF DIFFERENT NATURE BY ELECTROMAGNETIC PULSES OF HIGH INTENSITY


Purpose of the development: The developed technology of sterilization by high-intensity electromagnetic pulses and instrumentation can be used to implement a sterilizing effect on the bactericidal microflora (staphylococcus, Salmonella, Klebsiella, Koch bacillus) in places where a low level of bacterial population is required.

Recommended application field: The technology of sterilization by electromagnetic pulses of high intensity can be used in medicine, pharmaceutical, chemical, food industries, urban transport, agriculture, etc.

Technical characteristic: High energy characteristics of a pulsed sterilizer are confirmed, for which, according to the storage capacity of 300 F, charging voltage 3 kV and discharge current 150-250 kA, the ultraviolet radiation energy in a pulse of <25 s duration in the bactericidal radiation band of 0.12-0.3 m is 100- 150 J at a plasma temperature of about 10,000 K.

Advantages over analogues: The created pulse sterilizer significantly increases the processing efficiency in comparison with the existing methods (based on mercury-quartz lamps) and provides a reduction in the processing time of premises by tens to hundreds of times.

The electrophysical method, based on the use of ultraviolet radiation, which is characterized by a significant bactericidal action, opens up broad prospects for the implementation of highly efficient sterilization. As a source of ultraviolet radiation, a magnetoplasma compressor is used, which today is the most highly efficient source of pulsed action. The pulse sterilizer contains a high-energy capacitive energy storage device and an open-type end compressor, which makes it possible to preserve in the radiation spectrum a part of the hard ultraviolet, which is most harmful to microorganisms. The control of the prototype of the sterilizer is carried out remotely.
