METHOD OF MODIFICATION OF THE SURFACE OF MAGNETITE NANOPARTICLES


Purpose of the development: The development concerns methods for producing polyfunctional nanocomposites with magnetic, luminescent, and electrically conductive properties.

Recommended application field: The development can be used to obtain diagnostic materials in medicine, in particular, markers of cancer cells, means of targeted drug delivery, materials for electrophoresis.

Advantages over analogues: Modifying the surface of magnetic clusters with functional polymers and luminescent labels allows you to control the movement of nanoparticles and trace it in the cellular environment and living tissues, which is important for the latest diagnostic methods in medicine and biology.

Technical and economic effect: Technical and economic efficiency of the invention is to simplify the technological process of modifying the surface of magnetite nanoparticles and providing them with luminescent and conductive properties.

A technology has been developed for producing polyfunctional nanocomposites by a simplified procedure for modifying the surface of magnetite by an adsorption-polymerization method at optimal concentrations of the components. The resulting hybrid nanoparticles of modified magnetite are characterized by simultaneous magnetic (magnetic susceptibility of 52-58 cm3 / g), luminescent (emission band in the 520-550 nm region) and electrically conductive (conductivity ~ 6x10 minus 2 degrees C / m) functions.
