Purpose of the development: Rolled strength class 600 MPa is intended for the reinforcement of unstressed and stressed reinforced concrete structures. This rental can be used as reinforcement elements of monolithic and precast reinforced concrete structures.

Recommended application field: Construction of industrial facilities and housing; in the structural elements of buildings in the form of individual rods; for road reinforcement and airfield pavements.

Advantages over analogues: Reinforcing steel of class 600 MPa in its mechanical properties corresponds to DIN 488. Its application provides savings of up to 20% of steel in construction due to increased strength, and also saves up to 5% of metal by reducing cutting losses.

Technical and economic effect: The need for reinforcing bars with a strength class of 600 MPa is more than 300 thousand tons per year.

Reinforcing steel of class 600 MPa is supplied in the form of a rod of a periodic profile with a diameter from 4.0 to 18.0 mm, which is formed into a coil by cold plastic deformation of a round rod from ordinary low-carbon low-alloyed steel grades, has a conditional yield strength (q0.2) not less 600 MPa, temporary resistance (qв) not less than 670 MPa, ratio q0.2 / qв not less than 1.08 and full elongation at maximum load not less than 3%. It is made using the principle of accumulation of strength at the stages of processing, which are summarized: 1 - thermal hardening of the rod; 2 - strengthening due to cold deformation during the formation of a periodic profile; 3 - strengthening the finished product release in the conditions of electrothermal tension.
