Purpose of the development: The development is intended for the manufacture of stamped welded connecting parts of main pipelines.

Recommended application field: The main oil and gas systems in the CIS countries. They have been in operation for more than 30-40 years, which is longer than the period of their guaranteed work, and therefore they need to be overhauled and replaced.

To strengthen the connecting parts of trunk pipelines, original thermal hardening modes, tempering, structural and technological parameters of the heating equipment, water-based cooling medium were developed, which made it possible to obtain ferrite-bainite or bainite structure in metal products and normalized characteristics. The developed parts are intended for pipelines with a diameter of up to 1420 mm from low-carbon steels (wall thickness from 14 to 100 mm) at the level of strength X80 (K65), which allows to provide normalized performance properties and reduce the wall thickness of products. Developments created for the first time in the CIS. The technology and equipment have been developed and fully implemented in the industry at the main enterprise for the production of pipeline fittings.
