DEVELOPMENT OF A SMALL-SIZE 3-MM RANGE OF A RANGE FOR ENSURING SAFETY OF HELICOPTER FLIGHTS AND SMALL AIRPLANES AT LOW HEIGHTS IN CONDITIONS OF INSUFFICIENT VIS
Purpose of the development:
- аll-weather and round-the-clock precision piloting of helicopters and small aircraft;
- ensuring safe flights of aircraft in conditions of insufficient visibility (dust, fog, precipitation);
- collision avoidance with fixed and moving obstacles.
Recommended application field:
Aviation.
Technical characteristic:
- operating frequency 94.3 ± 0.3 GHz
maximum obstacle detection range
(wires BB power lines with a diameter of 5-10 mm) 700 m;
- detection range of objects with EPR> = 10 m2 2500 m;
- minimum obstacle detection range 30 m.
Advantages over analogues:
The use of airborne radar 3-mm range in poor visibility conditions allows you to:
- significantly expand the possibilities of using helicopters in difficult weather conditions, when flying at low altitudes and in a "blind" landing;
- with sufficient accuracy to determine the power line and other obstacles;
- to ensure the search for landing sites in remote areas.
