COMPLEX GAS-AEROSOL POLARIZATION HOLOGRAPHIC LIDAR


Purpose of the development: The developed holographic lidar is a complex device that allows you to simultaneously explore both gas and aerosol composition of the atmosphere.

Recommended application field: Continuous monitoring of the state of the environment and monitoring compliance with the emission limits set by the Law of Ukraine "On Atmospheric Air Protection"; enterprises of the fuel and energy complex, enterprises with harmful production.

Advantages over analogues: The study of the aerosol component is carried out according to the original method by remote registration of polarization holograms of atmospheric sections.

Description of the development:

The use of the spontaneous Raman scattering method in the lidar makes it possible to almost instantly obtain concentrations of atmospheric gases with high spatial resolution, which ensures the determination with high accuracy and efficiency of sources of gas pollution in difficult environmental conditions of environmentally unfriendly industrial zones. The study of the aerosol component is carried out according to the original method through the remote registration of polarization holograms of atmospheric sections. This allows to obtain information on the concentration of aerosols due to the direct study of images of aerosol particles, which, unlike other methods, does not require the use of a priori assumptions about the type of aerosol under investigation and therefore makes it possible to avoid the associated errors. Thus, a complex gas-aerosol polarization holographic lidar is today the most promising means for complete remote monitoring of the air environment and can be successfully used for environmental purposes.
