Purpose of the development: The automatic refractometer is inteded for determining the content of dry matter in liquid products.

Recommended application field: Fied of application: - sugar industry; - food-canning industry; - milk industry; - alcoholic beverage industry; - non-alcoholic beverage and brewing industry.

Technical characteristic: Technical Data: - The range of dry matter content measurement 0 to 75%; - The measurement error: under laboratory conditions + - 0.1%; under production conditions + - 0.3%; - Liguid temperature 10 to 90 C; - Environment temperature 0 to 55 C.

Advantages over analogues: As to its technical characteristics the instrument is distinguished by its high accuracy: (mearusement error no more than 0.1%), high speed of response, simple service conditions, a possibility of determining the amount of dark, non-transparent products in liquids.

The operation principle of the automatic refractometer is based on the phenomenon of full inner reflection of the interface liquid/inner surface of the glass tube. Indications do depend on the colour, turbidity, nontransparency of the media subject to measurement.
