The effectiveness of the device is to ensure the cross-application of the arcuate grooves of the desired depth on the spine of the book block. The device consists of carriages in which book blocks are clamped, an immovable gear wheel, carrier, satellite gear wheels, with disk tools fixed to their axes. Simple regulation ensures the formation of the desired relief on the back of a book block in equipment of various types (from small format to Trendbinder machine with technical parameters: book block length is up to 480 mm, its thickness is 3-80 mm).
