TISSUE CULTURE RAUWOLFI A SERPENTINA BENTH. - SOURCE OF ANTI-ARRHTHMIC ALKALOID AYMALIN


Purpose of the development: To create phytopreparations for the treatment of ventricular arrhythmias of the heart, as well as for the prevention of cardiac arrhythmias during excessive physical exertion (cosmonauts, pilots, submariners, athletes, etc.).

Recommended application field: The medicine.

Technical characteristic: The unique strain of tissue culture Rauwolfi a serpentina is the mono producer of Aymalin. The growth cycle of cultured cells is 45-50 days. The yield of dry biomass - 25-30 g with 1 l of medium. Aymalin content - 1.2-2.1% based on dry biomass.

Advantages over analogues: In Ukraine, aymalin does not produce, use synthetic antiarrhythmic drugs with severe side effects. The strain of tissue culture Rauwolfi a serpentina has no world analogues in terms of the characteristics of the Aymalin monoproducer and the performance.

The development stage readiness: Tested experimental exploitation order

Technical and economic effect: The cost of the proposed amalin is 30% lower than the global market value.
