Purpose of the development: The Ukrainian Institute has developed a new technology for color printing, which allows to synthesize any color with only two color inks when applied in black and allows significant savings in color inks.

Recommended application field: Printing companies.

Advantages over analogues: 1. There is no need to select the color of the image under the paint as they do in traditional printing technologies. The created software allows you to quickly process millions of image pixels and for each pixel to accurately calculate the ratio of the two color and black colors that are needed to reproduce the color of this pixel on paper. 2. "Ideal" conditions for color printing on the existing technological base: the limit of color inks is 200% (for technologies used in printing houses, this minimum limit of 200% is unattainable), the limit of all inks is 300%. 3. High quality of a color rendition on a print. 4. Big savings of color printing inks will be - 50-70%.

The technology is based on the new principle of color separation, which is based on analytical methods for analyzing and synthesizing color images. In addition, each pixel of the image is reproduced in two color and black colors. Original computer programs provide color separation of the original image, color correction of the original, image synthesis on the imprint and evaluation of overlay colors.
