MANUFACTURING OF OPENINGS IN AERIAL ENGINE PARTS

The development is intended for the manufacture of calibrated holes of small diameters in a wide range of parts using a laser source.

The advantages of a laser source in obtaining calibrated holes in materials:
• the ability to focus in a small spot size;
• contactless processing;
• small heating zone;
• management of the spatial position of the holes.

Description of the development:
() In industry, there is a wide range of parts, in the manufacture of which it is necessary to obtain holes up to 10 mm in depth and up to 1 mm in diameter with high productivity and accuracy. Due to the frequent replacement of tools, the difficulty of sharpening small-diameter drill bits to perform such operations using traditional methods is associated with certain difficulties. This task is especially complicated when making holes in difficult-to-work materials.
In the manufacture of holes of small diameters, electro-erosion, electrochemical, ultrasonic and electron-beam processing do not provide high performance of the process, therefore laser processing is used. The optimal mode of laser treatment in obtaining precision holes provides minimal melting of the walls and bottom of the holes in the process of their production.
