NANO-FLUIDS FOR ENERGY EFFICIENT HEAT EXCHANGE SYSTEMS
Purpose of the development:
Prospective coolant for the needs of laser emitters, power transformers.
Recommended application field:
Nuclear industry, energy, metallurgy, electronics.
Technical characteristic:
The average particle size, nm 70-3000.
Concentration of particles, mass. % 0.5-1.0.
Sedimentation stability, months 1,5-2,0.
Critical heat flux, qх10-6 W / m2 3.5-3.8.
Heat transfer coefficient, a, W / m2 K 35000-52000.
Advantages over analogues:
Nanofluids are able to increase the critical heat flux by 3-4 times compared to distilled water, in contrast to single-phase heat carriers, they allow to avoid a sudden onset of a boiling crisis. They have high colloidal stability and resistance to multiple boiling-cooling cycles, low cost, affordable and environmentally friendly.
