Purpose of the development: For the regeneration of water from liquid waste of crew life of a manned spacecraft, it consists of a centrifugal distiller, a thermoelectric heat pump (thermopile), and pre-and post-filtration devices.

Recommended application field: In manned spacecraft.

Technical characteristic: - productivity: to 6 l / h; - specific energy consumption <100 W x year / l; - degree of extraction of water (recovery): 92-95%; - volume: 0.5 m3; - weight 30 kg.

Advantages over analogues: Compared with the known analogues, the specific energy consumption is 1.5-3 times lower, the degree of water extraction is 10-20% higher, dimensions and weight are 2-3 times less. The distiller does not require additional pumps to move liquids inside the apparatus and in external elements that ensure the functioning of the water recovery system.

Wastewater treatment of the life support system of spacecraft by the method of multistage evaporation on the rotating surface takes place. A number of prototypes were manufactured with the number of distillation degrees 1, 3, 5. They were independently tested and combined with a thermoelectric heat transformer.
