Purpose of the development: For processing saline water of various origins with obtaining high-quality drinking water.

Recommended application field: Station water and water purification.

Technical characteristic: The developed technology provides such characteristics of purified water: - salt content - up to 600 mg / dm3; - pH - 6.8; hardness - 1.5 mmol / dm3; - chlorides - 60 mg / dm3; - sulfates - 160 mg / dm3.

Advantages over analogues: Pretreatment of ultrafiltration water and its softening provide an output of permeate at the level of 85-95% (for traditional bar-membrane diagrams - 70%). At the same time, concentrates of membrane plants and regeneration solutions of cation-exchange filters are processed by electrochemical methods into acids, alkalis, oxidized chlorine compounds, coagulant and other reuse reagents. This allows for the implementation of non-waste water desalination technology.

The development stage readiness: Tested experimental exploitation order

Technical and economic effect: The introduction into production of the developed technologies of pre-treatment of water before baromembrane desalting with subsequent processing of the obtained concentrates will allow a 10-15% increase in the output of high-quality drinking water, simultaneously reducing respectively the amount of liquid waste requiring additional treatment. As a result of such complex water treatment, its cost can be reduced by a factor of 2-3, which will make it possible to provide regions with a shortage of drinking water with cheap quality water. The cost of obtaining drinking water quality using baromembrane methods will decrease from 5.5 to 4.74 UAH / m3.
