RADIO ELECTRIC TELEVISION SIGNAL TRANSMISSION SYSTEMS
Purpose of the development:
To study changes in the parameters of digital television signals of DVB-C / T / 2 standards when transmitting them via a radio relay link using the dual (combined) modulation method QAM-FM or COFDM-FM.
Recommended application field:
Broadcasting, radio and television.
Technical characteristic:
- modem input: DVB-C or DVB-T, DVB-T2;
- input frequency band: 8 MHz;
- combined modulation: QAM-FM (for DVB-C), COFDM-FM (for DVB-T / T2);
- bandwidth of the combined modulation radio signal: 27 MHz;
- RRL interval length: 15 km;
- speed of a digital stream: no more than 50 Mbps.
Advantages over analogues:
- the stability of the radio signal of combined modulation to the effects of nonlinear distortion in the transmitting and receiving paths;
- high noise immunity of the radio relay communication line;
- increased spectral efficiency of radio frequency band use;
- the minimum cost of upgrading the equipment of the existing radio relay line.

Description of the development:
() The development is based on the combined (dual) modulation method proposed by the authors, in which digital cam- or COFDM modulation is used as the primary, and analog frequency modulation is used as the secondary, which allows a significant increase in the amount of information transmitted via the existing backbone radio links.
