TRANSFER OF INNOVATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY FUSED FLUXES FOR SURFACING OF LOW, MEDIUM AND HIGH-ALLOY STEELS


Purpose of the development: Flux is designed for electric welding of metallurgical equipment, automotive parts and various elements of the process equipment, where it is necessary to ensure continuous process of surfacing with guaranteed separation of slag crust.

Recommended application field: Different areas of mechanical engineering and instrumentation.

Technical characteristic: Basicity of the flux according to: - Formula International Institute of Welding is 0.75 ... 0.8; - The activity of the oxygen ion (main metallurgical characteristics of fluxes) - 0.4 ... 0.5; - Oxygen potential - - 360 ... - 370 kJ / mol.

Advantages over analogues: Flux ensures separation of slag crust on the surface of the deposited layer, including at elevated temperatures (up to 550 degrees C) other than the formation of the weld metal, the increased stability of the existence of an arc discharge and no release of environmentally harmful fluorine compounds (in the absence of a powder wire). Currently in Ukraine there is no such fused fluxes for surfacing. In the world there is no flux for welding similar weldability, which do not contain in its composition fluorine compounds.

The flux can be applied in combination with solid and cored wires for welding to create a metal layer with special properties on the basis of low-, medium- and high-alloyed steels which are applied to the surface. When using conventional welding wire oxygen content in the weld metal does not exceed 0.05%, 0.035% phosphorus, sulfur, - about 0.01%. When application of high-sulfur content wires is reduced to 0.002%, which ensures that no hot cracks and podsolidusnyh deposited layer. The level of separation of the slag crust is at its maximum point. In applying the standard wires for welding low, medium and high alloy steels bezftoristy flux ensures that the minimum metal tendency to hydrogen porosity (at the level of general-purpose flux).
