Purpose of the development: Lingart is an application / platform (web, mobile (PWA)) for multilingual interactive audio books.

Recommended application field: The target audience is people who are already listening to audiobooks, but want the flexibility of settings and new features; people who learn foreign languages; blind people; motorists.

Advantages over analogues: All competitive analogues (Audible, Storytel, LibriVox) provide an opportunity only to listen to audiobooks. They are not interactive, they can not be used to learn languages, there is no possibility to move from listening to reading, or listen to books in the original. In Lingard, a user can switch between listening and reading a book, or even listening and reading a book at the same time. The basic element in the application is sentences. Therefore, it is suitable for specialized and technical literature, thanks to the possibility of attaching additional media content (images, videos, graphics, tables, etc.) to a specific offer. An algorithm for text synchronization has been developed (1 sentence in one language may correspond to several sentences in another language, especially in fiction). Another algorithm synchronizes text and audio file.

To date, there is still no tool that would allow to listen to highly specialized literature because of the need to become familiar with visual content. People still have a choice between audio and e-books. Regular audio books are not suitable for learning languages ??due to the lack of visual reinforcement and quick access to the translation. Lingart allows you to listen to a book, and go into reading mode when further listening becomes impossible. Also, any sentence can be supplemented with additional media content, which allows you to listen to highly specialized literature and, at the right moment, view additional media content (tables, graphs, images, etc.). Thanks to the synchronization of text and audio, as well as cross-language synchronization, Lingart can be used as a tool for learning foreign languages.
