TRANSFER OF INNOVATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES

TECHNOLOGY OF DEVELOPMENT OF MARINE DEPOSITS OF NATURAL GAS HYDRATES

Purpose of the development: The development of gas hydrate deposits provides for the release and removal of gas hydrates directly without the cost of the total energy balance for its melting. The target product of the technology will be gas hydrate suitable for transportation and storage.

Recommended application field: Oil and gas companies specializing in the development of offshore hydrocarbon deposits.

Advantages over analogues: 1. A technology is proposed for the development of unconventional carbohydrate deposits. 2. The introduction of technology will significantly increase the recoverable reserves of natural gas. 3. The technology at all stages involves the use of alternative energy sources (seawater, reservoir, the sun, the energy of dissipative hydro-destruction processes).

The development stage readiness: The working documentation is developed

Description of the development:
()
According to preliminary estimates, the total volume of methane accumulated in the natural hydrates of the World Ocean is estimated to be from 3,000 to 7,000 trillion m3. However, today there is no technologically and economically efficient way to develop gas hydrate deposits. Known methods involve the use of traditional means and solutions for the extraction of fluid after the dissociation of gas hydrates at the location. However, dissociation is an endothermic process, and the hydrate itself often performs the function of the skeleton of sedimentary rock and in addition has a number of properties that do not contribute to the use of traditional approaches to their removal. Ukrainian scientists have developed a method that provides for the separation and removal of gas hydrates directly without costs in the overall energy balance for its melting, but the implementation of a number of phase transformations in the production process through targeted process management based on taking into account the physical properties and features of the complex interaction of the reservoir system components and rock formation tools.
