Purpose of the development: The development of gas hydrate deposits provides for the allocation and removal of gas hydrate directly without the cost of the total energy balance for its melting. The target product of the technology will be a gas hydrate suitable for transportation and storage.

Recommended application field: Oil and gas companies specializing in the development of offshore hydrocarbon deposits (or are planning).

Advantages over analogues: 1. The technology of developing unconventional carbohydrate deposits is proposed. 2. The introduction of technology will significantly increase the recoverable reserves of natural gas. 3. The technology at all stages involves the use of alternative energy sources (sea water, reservoir, sun, energy of dissipative processes of hydrocracking).

Description of the development:

The method of production and transportation of natural gas from gas and gas hydrate offshore fields provides for: - disclosure of a gas hydrate formation by a horizontal well; - disintegration of the productive formation rock and transfer to the hydraulic mixture by mechanical grinding as a result of the action of flooded high-pressure jets of a mixture of water and abrasive material; - enrichment of slurry on gas hydrate as a result of gravitational deposition of part of the rock; - selection from the production and feeding into the separator located on the bottom of the sea, previously enriched in the gas mixture hydrate for its separation into streams: pure gas hydrate, depleted in the gas hydrate of the hydraulic mixture and waste rock; - supply of separated gas hydrate through the pipeline to the production platform; - production of large gas hydrate blocks, preserved by a layer of ice; - transportation and storage of gas hydrate blocks at atmospheric pressure and a slight negative temperature; - storage of gas hydrates in ground storage - mobile frameless gas support structures.
