IMPROVEMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF INNOVATIVE METHODS OF OPERATIONAL TREATMENT OF PRIMARY HYPERPARATHYROIDISM
Purpose of the development:
Developed, tested and implemented modern methods and techniques for surgical treatment of primary hyperparathyroidism.
Recommended application field:
Surgical centers, clinical hospitals.
Advantages over analogues:
The use of ionized calcium screening, modern methods and techniques allowed to significantly improve the diagnosis of the disease, reduce the time of surgery, reduce tissue trauma, reduce the risk of complications, have a good cosmetic result and reduce the average length of hospital stay to 2-5 days.
The development stage readiness:
Ready for application
Description of the development:
() 1. The use of intraoperative ultrasound allows you to accurately localize the pathologically altered parathyroid gland (pancreas) with the subsequent use of minimally invasive access, 1.5-2.5 cm long, directly above the tumor.
2. Given the high percentage (95.55%) of rare adenomas or hypertrophy of the parathyroid glands and the use of ultrasound on the operating table, an audit of all glands is not considered necessary.
3. Surgical interventions for primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) should be performed only under endotracheal anesthesia to prevent pneumothorax.
4. The use of ionized calcium screening has significantly improved the detection of PHGT and increased the number of surgical interventions for this disease.
