Purpose of the development: Active lightning rods are designed to intercept the discharge and protect against lightning strikes, provoking it on themselves.

Recommended application field: Lightning protection of buildings and structures.

Advantages over analogues: The Dt indicator shows that lightning is intercepted by an ESE lightning head with an early streamer emission system earlier than a conventional lightning receiver. If the value of the Dt index is large, this indicates that the active reaction of the lightning rod head is better. And this shows that it will quickly attract lightning to itself from an even higher point and with a larger diameter of coverage of the zone of protection from lightning.

Lightning rods consist of four main parts, these are: lightning rod; housing; ion tunnel; energy block; lower axis; lightning rod communication adapter. An active lightning rod with the effect of an atmospheric electric field works according to the principle of the Early Streamer Emision [ESE] system, acting to receive energy from changes in the density of the electrostatic and electromagnetic fields formed in the air. The metal parts of the lightning rod that will carry the zipper are made of stainless steel (inox), which is resistant to chemical interaction and corrosion. This property provides strength and stability of the head against harsh environmental conditions.
