CONTROL OF ORIENTATION AND STRUCTURAL CHANGES IN IN SITU CRYSTAL MATERIALS IN THE PROCESS OF EXTERNAL INFLUENCE
Purpose of the development:
The proposed method can be used to determine the crystallographic orientation and structure of polycrystalline materials, their change during external exposure, and also to study the laws of plastic deformation of crystalline materials.
Recommended application field:
Development can find application in factory laboratories, research institutes and the metallurgical industry.
Advantages over analogues:
Compared with world analogues, where orientation changes can only be monitored discretely in a separate section of the polycrystal, the proposed method allows automatic, continuous determination of the crystallographic orientation simultaneously for the entire sample.
Development is in demand on the market of Ukraine, Russia, Germany, USA, Japan.
The development stage readiness:
Pre-production model is made
Description of the development:
() A fundamentally new method has been developed for determining the crystallographic orientation of various regions of a sample and their in situ changes during external exposure, based on white light diffraction of quasiperiodic structures that occurs on the surface of a polycrystalline sample as a result of chemical etching.
