UNAUTHORIZED VIDEO SURVEILLANCE DETECTION TECHNOLOGY FROM UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES

Purpose of the development: Ukrainian University offers a technology for detecting unauthorized video surveillance from UAVs in a controlled area in order to ensure the protection of protected objects.

Recommended application field: - protection of objects and territories under protection from unauthorized video surveillance; - protection of private territories from unauthorized filming; - ensuring privacy confidentiality. The main customers of the system technology can be law enforcement agencies, military departments, VIP security services, security agencies.

Technical characteristic: 1. Power sensors: - from the battery (voltage - 12 V, current - 200 mA); - through the adapter (voltage -12 V from the network 220 V, 50 Hz). 2. Dimensions of sensors: - autonomous performance: 160x85x55 mm; - stationary execution: 180x130x55 mm; 3. Scanning ISM radio frequency bands is carried out in the bands that are most often used for video transmission. 4. Interface for connecting sensors to the central console of the security system - RS-485.

Advantages over analogues: Sensors are distinguished by the ability to easily integrate with existing systems of protection of objects and territories and low cost.

The development stage readiness: Introduced in production

Description of the development:
()
The principle of operation is passive radar. The technology is implemented by special sensors that monitor the ranges that are used to transmit the video signal from the UAV to the base station. The appearance of such a signal indicates that a video is being shot in the controlled area, which is broadcast to the base station. The fact of video recording is fixed and can be displayed on the light and sound indicators of the sensor. A device for transmitting messages via GSM about the presence of UAVs in the controlled area can also be connected to the sensor. Two types of sensors have been developed - mobile and stationary. The mobile sensor has an omnidirectional built-in antenna and operates from an autonomous power source. It has light and sound indicators announcing the presence of video recording from UAVs within the controlled territory. The entire line of sight is monitored relative to the installation location of the sensor in a radius of up to 1000 m. The stationary sensor has a directional antenna with an angle of 60 °, in addition to local light and sound indicators, has an external interface for connecting to the central console of the security system (RS-485 interface) for transmitting signaling information about the start and stop of video recording, video signal level, etc. Identified the video signal (in the PAL / NTSC standard) is transmitted to the central control unit via a twisted pair cable (at a distance of up to 150 meters) for operational monitoring or for saving for later viewing and analysis. Using a system of stationary sensors with their corresponding spatial orientation will allow to organize high-quality control of airspace by collecting data from all sensors in the central module, which will make it possible to determine the direction of the UAV location by comparing video signal levels. A personal computer of the security system or a microprocessor system with a matrix TFT indicator can be used as a central module. The developed software provides the fulfillment of the above functions. When sensors are supplied without a central control module, the customer is provided with a description of external interfaces, commands and a control protocol in an amount that allows them to be integrated into an existing security system or develop software to control the sensor system.
