IMMUNO-ENZYME TEST SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING THE CONTENT OF HYDROXYLED FORMS OF VITAMIN D (25ОHD) AS A MARKER OF VITAMIN D-DEFICIENCY STATES
Purpose of the development:
To determine the content of hydroxylated forms of vitamin D (25ОHD) in the blood serum of patients.
Recommended application field:
Medicine. Healthcare.
Advantages over analogues:
The developed test system makes it possible to detect nanomolar (nanograms) amounts of 25ОHD in blood serum.
The development stage readiness:
Ready for application
Description of the development:
() A wide range of pathologies associated with vitamin D deficiency is due to the fact that simultaneously with providing homeostasis of calcium and phosphates, cholecalciferol at the genomic level regulates proliferation, differentiation, cell apoptosis and angiogenesis. The consequences of vitamin D deficiency are a violation of bone remodeling processes and an increased risk of developing a number of chronic and autoimmune diseases, in particular osteoporosis, diabetes mellitus, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, cardiovascular pathologies, infectious and oncological diseases.
