Purpose of the development: Universal multimedia simulator (UMS) is designed for training and improvement in shooting. It imitates various shooting conditions, close to combat, requiring the timely use of weapons by law enforcement officers.

Recommended application field: Training of security and guard services, special forces to combat terrorists.

Technical characteristic: - a typical screen size is 3.2x2.4 m; - firing range - 3 ... 25 m or more; - accuracy of determining the position of the place of impact - not less than 0.25% of the diagonal of the screen; - maximum frequency of shots - 5 shots / second.

Advantages over analogues: - lack of rebound (a full-time machine gun is used); - high accuracy of measuring the coordinates of the bullet hole; - the use of easily collapsible design of the projection screen; - It is possible to shoot both from military weapons and from pre-air weapons, as well as from weapons with a laser simulator of a shot, or from bulky models.

The multimedia simulator consists of a computer, a projector, a screen, a coordinate meter for bullet holes, mechanical devices for raising and lowering the screen, and a set of laser nozzles for mock weapons. The combination of digital television and computer technology allows you to play the necessary combat situation on the large projection screen of the target. The simulator’s principle of operation is that a specially prepared video plot with fixed or dynamic goals, consisting of a large number of branched fragments, is recreated on the screen. Depending on the point of impact of the bullet, the system includes the corresponding fragment of the video plot, thus building an interactive plot of the development of events. Sagittarius becomes, as it were, a participant in these events that are unfolding in real time, and the situation changes depending on the results of each shot. The videos are stored in a computer and can reproduce various situations: the release of hostages, the elimination of criminal groups, the detention of cars. A specially developed remote, non-contact method of measuring the coordinates of the bullet hit allowed to remove all restrictions on the caliber of the used weapons and to provide the possibility of placing the UMT in the room of a standard shooting range while maintaining all the functions of the latter.
