SOLID-FREE POLYMERIC BINDER FOR HEAT-RESISTANT CARBON PLASTICS

Purpose of the development: For the manufacture of heat-resistant carbon fiber.

Recommended application field: Aviation, rocketry, microelectronics, automobile and shipbuilding.

Technical characteristic: Binder Properties: The content of organic solvents, wt.% 0. Viscosity (VZ-4) at Т = 60 ° С, s 20-50. Viability at Т = 60 ° С, h> 8. Glass transition temperature, ° C 220-250. The temperature of the beginning of the destruction, ° C 390. Water absorption, wt.% 1-2. Carbon fiber properties: The binder content in plastic, wt.% 28-32. Tensile strength, MPa 158100. Compressive Strength, MPa 1090. Bending strength at T = 20 ° C, MPa 1650. Bending strength at T = 150 ° C, MPa 950. Bending strength at T = 200 ° C, MPa 440. Poros,% 0.

Advantages over analogues: Environmentally friendly technology without the use of hazardous organic solvents. Low dielectric loss. Performance in conditions of elevated temperatures and humidity. Physico-mechanical characteristics at the level of the best Western counterparts. Storage> 97% strength at a temperature of 150 ° C, varying the composition of the polymer composition can provide operating temperatures up to 200-250 ° C (long) and up to 300-350 ° C (short-term), also in high humidity.

The development stage readiness: Tested experimental exploitation order

Description of the development:
()
A highly effective binder and manufacturing technology based on it without the use of solvents of fire-resistant (self-extinguishing) carbon plastics with enhanced thermal and physico-mechanical characteristics based on the traditional EDT-69n for equipping aircraft and spacecraft have been developed. A fundamentally new method of forming a three-dimensional polymer structure and its nanostructuring was used.
