Purpose of the development: Designed for visual diagnosis of local surface color changes in the presence of asymmetric dimethylhydrazine (heptyl) leaks through end-to-end defects in the connections of the fuel systems of launch vehicles.

Recommended application field: In rocket and space technology for detecting leaks through end-to-end defects of compounds, mainly detachable, rocket carriers of rocket fuel - asymmetric dimethylhydrazine.

Technical characteristic: It is made in the form of a tape, the geometric parameters of which are selected taking into account the dimensions of the pipeline connections. The original developer surface color is orange. The color of the surface of the developer in places of its contact with leaks of asymmetric dimethylhydrazine is green or blue. The smallest leakage rate of asymmetric dimethylhydrazine is reliably visually controlled by the developer during the test period of 5 minutes - about 1x10-7 m3 · Pa / s. It can be used for its intended purpose in the temperature range +5 ... + 50 ° С and relative air humidity up to 98%.

Advantages over analogues: The indicator developer allows you to quickly and reliably register the sources of asymmetric dimethylhydrazine up to 1x10-7 m3Pa / s in the temperature ranges from +5 to + 50 ° C and relative humidity from 10 to 98%. Compared with other analogues, it has an order of magnitude greater sensitivity, suitable for use in tropical conditions.
