Inside the sealed bag there are heating pads of a certain type - insoles for legs, or rectangular in shape for arms and body, filled with a special material that produces heat from contact with air. When using it is necessary to open the outer packaging, remove the heating pad, shake lightly and leave it in the air for 3-5 minutes. If in the process of work the heating pad began to give off heat badly, you need to get it and shake it again. The term of work is from 12 to 24 hours. Temperature is from 45 to 60 ° C. Methods of salvation from hypothermia in extreme cold: - put a heating pad inside the clothes, closer to the part of the body that is most affected by the cold; - during the night use in a sleeping bag; - during the transportation of the wounded to the medical unit, as with loss of blood, the body temperature drops significantly.
