Purpose of the development: The Ukrainian Institute has developed and manufactured prototypes of high-energy backup lithium power sources, operable at temperatures up to minus 25 ° С with a shelf life of 15 years.

Technical characteristic: - dimensions: diameter 6 mm, length 5.3 mm; - rated voltage: 1.5 V; - specific energy: at the first discharge - 250 W * h / kg, with a discharge after activation - 340 W * h / kg - operating temperature range: from minus 25 to plus 60 ° С; - shelf life - 15 years.

Advantages over analogues: The innovative characteristics of the developed backup lithium power sources of a cylindrical configuration significantly exceed the technical characteristics of traditional lithium power sources of a similar system: 1. Increased specific gravity energy of current sources in miniature design. In the first discharge, 250 W * h / kg; in a discharge after electrochemical activation, 340 W * h / kg. This is higher than the Energizer Ultimate Lithium Series commercial cylindrical sources. 2. The ability to use a backup current source after the first discharge several times. The regeneration of reserve current sources occurs by activation of a galvanostatic charge current.
