METHODS FOR IDENTIFICATION OF GENES RESISTANT TO THE MOST HARMFUL SPECIES OF RUST (RECC PUCCINIA)
Purpose of the development:
To identify varieties of wheat and other cereals that are resistant to various types of rust, for their further use in breeding and agriculture.
Recommended application field:
Agriculture.
Technical characteristic:
A method is proposed that allows the identification of resistance genes to various types of rust - brown (Lr34), stem (Sr2 and SrCad) and yellow (Yr36 and Yr10), as well as to determine the allelic states of these genes using molecular genetic markers.
Advantages over analogues:
In comparison with existing analogues, a method has been developed for identifying and determining the allelic state of resistance genes to various types of rust in cereal genotypes and requires less time and materials needed for analysis.
The development stage readiness:
Tested experimental exploitation order
