STEAM TRAPS OF A NEW GENERATION
Purpose of the development:
Automatic condensate removal from steam-using istalations through pipelines and gas pipelines drain. They can be used as liquid level controllers and phase separators in process equid level controllers and phase separators in process equipment.

Technical and economic effect:
The economic effect of using 50 steam traps at the Plant of self-contained current sources (Saratov) is estimated at 1,080 Gcal/month, which is equivalent to 154 t carbon fuel per month. Steam traps of the new design at Saratov dairy plant enabled to cut consumption of natural gas by 600 thousand m[3] per steam boiler of DKVR-4-13 per one heating season.
Description of the development:
() The operation principle of the device is based on using difference in steam and condensate densities. The original design of the device enebles to perform steam and water mixsture separation into gas and liquid phases in a flow, ensuring full continuous removal of condensate. Leakage of uncondensed steam is excluded. The device is reliable and effectively operates in conditions of presence of contaminated condensate, notable fluctuations of pressures and consumption of steam and condensate. They are superion to foreign analogues in efficiency, with the cost lower. The steam trap features a simple design, easy installation, stability of working characteristics during operation. No permanent maintenance is required.There is a certificate of conformity for the product. The RF Patents have been taken out. All types of the steam traps have passed industrial approbation. Steam traps of the new design at Saratov dairy plant enabled to cut consumption of natural gas by 600 thousand m[3] per steam boiler of DKVR-4-13 per one heating season.
