Purpose of the development: The development is intended for cleaning flue gas coming from a boiler plant.

Recommended application field: The proposed device can be used in all industries that use solid fuel boiler plants.

Advantages over analogues: Today in the world there are no similar devices designed for the direct cleaning of flue gases from carcinogenic resins contained in flue gas. The main advantages of development are high degrees of efficiency and reliability of the device.

Technical and economic effect: The expected effect of the introduction of the device is environmental. It will provide a significant reduction in the level of contamination with carcinogenic resins, and will reduce the level of pulmonary and oncological diseases. Also, reducing air pollution will lead to a reduction in fines imposed on production.

The use of mixtures of solid fuels, such as the use of Eurobar, leads to an unpredictable level of emissions from flue gases of carcinogenic resins. This necessitates finding an effective method of gas purification from these resins. There are flue gas filters that can clean the gas from these resins, but this is not a direct purification. The Ukrainian Academy has developed and proposes to introduce a contact heat exchanger for installation in a flue gas treatment system. His work is necessary only at the initial stage of the boiler. With increasing temperature in the boiler, these substances break down into safe components. Refrigerant is injected into the flue gas stream, which carries carcinogenic resins, heat exchange takes place in the mixing chamber and the cooled resins are condensed and separated from the gas in a special separator. A mathematical model of contact heat transfer and evaporation of atomized liquid droplets for cooling has been developed. There is a sample pilot plant, drawings and calculations for further implementation.
