NANOPARTICLES WITH FUNCTIONAL POLYMERIC SHELL
Purpose of the development:
A nanocomposite luminescent biomarker can be used for labeling cells, separating biological objects, for monitoring targeted drug delivery and radiotherapy.
Recommended application field:
Nanomaterials and nanotechnology.
Technical characteristic:
The obtained composite nanomarkers are characterized by sizes in the range from 8 to 50 nm, narrow intense emission bands in the range of 400-650 nm, are effectively excited by light with a wavelength in the range of 300-380 nm, significant photostability, the ability to attach various biological markers.
Advantages over analogues:
The use of nanocomposite complexes based on inorganic nanoparticles with a functional polymer shell is important for the identification of biological objects and the study of biological processes by luminescence microscopy. Development can be implemented in Ukraine and abroad.
The development stage readiness:
Ready for application
Description of the development:
() The use of the template synthesis method made it possible to obtain nanoparticles with specified sizes, size dispersion, simultaneous surface modification with a functional polymer shell, and predicted luminescent properties. Luminescent labels based on inorganic salts of lanthanides have a number of significant advantages over traditional organic dyes, which are characterized by wide spectral emission bands and significant degradation of light output.
