Purpose of the development: Designed for corrective and therapeutic contact lenses enhanced comfort.

The technology of polymeric material blanks "Akralan - LPI" for highly penetrating soft and "hypoxia" Ultrathin corrective and therapeutic contact lenses, as well as specifications and laboratory technical control regulations. New production technology enables the production of billets corrective and therapeutic lens increased comfort on the basis of highly penetrating optical polymer materials. Preform material hydrophilic, has a water capacity of 40-60 wt%, and at the same time has an elastic-deformation properties, which makes it possible to produce ultra-thin lenses, which retain their shape with a thickness of 0.04 mm or less. These contact lenses are marked stability of optical and geometric characteristics, increased oxygen penetration and comfort during use. Improved elasticity of the material allows the manufacturing conditions combined with a rigid contact lens center without internal stresses. Workpiece polymer material intended for manufacturing ultra-thin and combined corrective and therapeutic contact lenses for ophthalmology. Made from material blanks contact lenses enable to carry out the correction of any degree of myopia and aphakia, including the presence of astigmatism.
