Purpose of the development: For cleaning coke oven gas from harmful impurities during cooling.

Recommended application field: Metallurgical industry, thermal power engineering industry.

Advantages over analogues: Development responds to the world level of coke oven gas cooling technology, including environmental safety requirements. In this virtually eliminates the possibility of air emissions of phenols, naphthalene, cyanide, hydrogen sulfide and other gases. Perhaps the introduction of technology based on the existing equipment without large capital investments - in 3-5 times lower than global peers.

Description of the development:

Scientists developed the technology for final cooling of coke oven gas without direct contact with the cooling water it. Condensate, which falls during cooling of coke oven gas is subjected to purification of cyanide and acid gases by desorption under vacuum with the following flames. This condensate can be subjected to biochemical purification of organic compounds and phenol.
