Purpose of the development: To reduce the cost of electric energy in the process lines enrichment of iron ore and increase the quality of iron ore concentrate.

Recommended application field: Concentrators and metallurgical industries.

Technical characteristic: Technical characteristics: - Electricity consumption for the processing of iron ore in a magnetic field - about 0.1 kWh / ton; - Energy savings by processing - about 1 kWh / ton of ore; - An increase in iron content in the concentrate - about 1%.

Technological line enrichment of magnetite iron ore: the grinding step, magnetic separation, flotation. As a result of magnetic field processing of iron ore, which is subject to breakage in rock fragments magnetostriction occurs, which is accompanied by proliferation of the rock compressive mechanical vibrations. This leads to the destruction of the ore and following the process of grinding is carried out with less energy. In addition, the efficiency of the processes of grinding, magnetic separation, flotation are largely dependent on the degree of residual magnetization of minerals. Implementation of the necessary degree of magnetization in each stage enrichment process allows to improve the performance of existing equipment, reduce the cost based on this electric energy to increase the amount of iron in the concentrate. An installation for treating iron ore in a magnetic field. It allows to realize the magnetostrictive effect and provides regulation of the residual magnetization within wide limits, including mineral demagnetization.
