Description of the development: () Silicon crystal fusion technologyusinglow ash special coke as a reducing agent and jet-coal in the furnace with capacity 5 MVA has been created. Silicium extraction has reached 82,9%. Composition, %: Si - 98.79; Al - 0.36; Fe - 0.39; P - 0.011. Specific electric power consumption is 14,800 rW/h. Quartz' discharge intensity is 2.65 t, special coke 1.33 and coal 0.27 t. Efficiency of the technology was confirmed by pilot-industrial trials. Manufacture projections:
- Possible volume of annual manufacture - 2000t/year;
- Prospective cost of technology - USA $2.1 m;
- Payback time - 3.5 years.
