TECHNOLOGY FOR HIGH DISPERSION POWDERS PRODUCTION


Purpose of the development: Manufacture of nanodisperse and microscopic powders for gas-flame, gas-plasma, gas-dynamic metals spraying, termodiffusion (cold) zinc-plating, manufacture of anticorrosive and antifriction materials, solders and pastes for electronic industry.

The technology has been developed and industrial production of high-dispersion powders based on gas-phase metallurgy processes has been created. The powder particles are produced from a gaseous metal in deep vacuum conditions. The method enables to obtain nanodispersions and powders with practically any range and law of distribution of particles with sizes from a fraction of a nanometer up to several tens of micrometers. The obtained particles, as a rule, have a spherical shape. Using special acessories, it is possible to change it for crystal, volumetric or flat. The finished powder is passivated in order to prevent contamination of the product's surface by impurities and its ignition in the air. It is possible to select a passivating media favorable for furher technological processing of the product. Manufacture of zinc, copper and bronze high-dispersion powders has been mastered on base of the developed technology. Service life of anticorrosive compositions and coating materials developed on base of high-dispersion zinc powder for various conditions of operation is: - in conditionally clean environment: not less than 20 years; - in industrial environment: 10...20 years; - in fresh and sea water: 10...12 years; - for oil and mineral oil storage: 8...120years; When getting with oil into an internal combustion engine or transmission, antifriction and wear resistant materials created on base of ultra-and high dispersion powder alloys, form a protective layer on friction pairs surface. It allows to significantly reduce wear, restore friction pairs surfaces and, as consequence; to: - increase and sustain on an optimum level engine cylinders compression; - counterbalance tngine cylinders operation; - reduce oil consumption; - reduce noise level; - significantly increase the engine service life.
