FORMATION OF ANTIFRICTION BRONZE COATINGS ON CYLINDRICAL COMPONENTS SURFACES BY MEANS OF POWDER METAL PLATING IN THE DRIPPING PHASE
Purpose of the development:
Fabrication of a wide assortment of friction bearings for press equipment.
Recommended application field:
Machine-building and overhaul plants, related to friction bearings manufacture and reclamation.
Technical characteristic:
Technical characteristics:
- Coting base adhesive strength, MPa >150;
- Coating porosty, % <0,5;
- Powder recovery 0,95;
- Process productivity, rg/hour 2-5;
- Plasmatron power, kW 2-6;
- Gas flow, l/min 5-20;
- Relative power inputs, kJ/g 5.
Advantages over analogues:
Introduction of the process allows to reduce consumption of nonferrous metals by 20% and to obtain homogeneous coatins with physicomechanical characteristics of wear resistance, resistibility and durability in tribomechanical systems conditions 1,2-1,5 times higher that of available analogs.
The development stage readiness:
Introduced in production
Technical and economic effect:
Economic effect is achieved due to reduction in nonferrous metals (bronze) and electric power consumption.
Description of the development:
() Particles of the powder material are introduced into the streamline plasma flow of the cathode arch, area which provides for optimum heating conditions. Due to high temperature of plasma the particles are heated to form liquid drops. Due to vaporization a considerable part of their mass changes into vapor phase, which results in formation of dense homogeneus coatings with high cohesion and adhesion properties. Due to the transporting flow laminarity the heated perticle is protected from contact with the atmospheric air, which prevents oxidation of its surface and of the layer built up on the anode article.
