ENERGY AND ECONOMIC ESTIMATION OF THE USE OF BIOGAS FROM SEWAGE CLEANING SYSTEMS
Purpose of the development:
Otaining of heat for municipal residential and utility entities.
The development stage readiness:
The working documentation is developed
Description of the development: () By its ecological characteristics biogas is by 75% purer than diesel fuel and dy 50% clearer than gasoline. Its combustion products practically do not contain concerogenic substances. The influence of emissions of engines working on biogas on the ozone layer is by 60-80% lower than for petroleum fuel. At overhaul of urban sewage cleaning systems (SCS) application of energy-saving technologies of sewage sediment treatment allows to reduce twice consumption of thermal energy as the fundamental component of biogas is methane (70-75%) produced by microorganisms using organic wastes as the nutrient medium. The treatment operating costs are 20-40 kg of standard fuel and 40-250kW/h of electric power per 1 ton. Capital expenditures for building of instations for sediment treatment are 30% of the total costs of SCS construction. Transfer to advanced technologies of sediment treatment includes using of the following technological solutions:
- preheating of the sediment by vapor in the injection installations;
- utilization of heat of the fermented sediment with finich heating by the traditional technology;
- utilizatio of heat of the fermented sediment with finish heating by vapor or by heat-transfer agent in the spiral heat exchangers.
