Purpose of the development:
The device is intended for telemetering of deformations in different difficult-of-access objects.
Advantages over analogues:
The deformations sensor has no power source, therefore it can be operated for a long term. The distance from the sensor to the receiving equipment can reach 1000 m. The sensors can be installed along and across the construction.
The development stage readiness:
The working documentation is developed
Description of the development: () The device consists of the deformations sensor and a reader incorporating a laser. Displacements of the reference device of the sensor are converted into rotatory displacements of a plate from an optically active material. The laser baem reflected from the sensor acquires the position of an optical axis, which corresponds to a change in the optically active plate of sensor. The position of optical axis of the reflected laser beam is fixed by optical equipment. Guidance of a laser beam to the sensor is accomplished by a theodolite. Transfer of information is accomplished on the basis of three- dimensional orientation of the sensor and receiver and by the use of a laser beam.
