At the Institute of Surface Chemistry NASU developed a design of sorbent Bon to contain oil spills and water purification. The outer covering of it consists of a hydrophobic oil-absorbing high-capacity sorbent is made ??of mineral fiber, dressed in a light tube of polymeric material. The flat part of the Bon submerged in the water and prevents the output of the boundaries of oil spills, which are located in the surface layer of water for cleaning and sorption of petroleum products. The construction Bon allows easy replacement of the outer coating of sorbent after saturation of petroleum products. Separate sections are combined with each other Bon with links and create a flexible closed chain. The specific size of the fragments of Bon chosen in consultation with the customer. Coupons can be used as a barrier in the field of possible discharge of oil, for example, sewage lagoons, as well as for the protection of places of urban waste water discharging into the river, places of unloading and refueling of boats of oil products.
