Advantages over analogues: Designed equipment allows the production of several pieces in one operation. In addition, it uses one portion of the flux for the guidance of the slag bath and lower power consumption, so there is no need for consumable electrode melts each casting separately. All this reduces the cost of manufacturing one-piece installation and increases productivity.

The developed technology and equipment allow to obtain blanks in various fields of corrosion resistant steels , non-ferrous alloys , bi-metal . Typical representatives of parts produced by electroslag casting billets are stamping and cutting tools , bulky gear blanks , rings, pulleys, sprockets , various types of plugs, eye , body , trunnion type bimetallic billets worm wheels, rollers and rolling etc. Electroslag casting process based on electroslag melting of consumable electrode. The electrode is melted by using heat evolved in the electrically conductive slag by passing electric current therethrough . Casting in electroslag casting crystallizes in thin crust slag skull . As a result of rapid crystallization and stpogonapravlennoy small amount of liquid metal is ensured by its high chemical and structural homogeneity .
