TRANSFER OF INNOVATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES

SYNTHESIS AND STRUCTURE OF FORMATION OF NANOCRYSTAL COMPOSITE MATERIALS IN THE SYSTEMS SI-C AND NEW CRACK-RESISTING SUPERHARD CERAMICS.


Purpose of the development: Creation of scientific foundations of the formation of metastable states of silicon carbide due to the presence of super-stoichiometric carbon atoms in its structure, and creation of new superhard ceramics.

Recommended application field: Powder metallurgy, mechanical engineering, electronics, chemical industry.

Advantages over analogues: New superhard ceramics was received through the implementation of the effect of dispersion hardening.

The development stage readiness: Tested experimental exploitation order

Technical and economic effect: New superhard materials were received, which can be used as an abrasive-resistant coverage.

The object of study is silicon carbide in a metastable state, which is characterized by partial substitution of silicon atoms by carbon atoms in the structure of beta-SiC.Purpose of research: the creation of scientific bases of the formation of metastable states of silicon carbide due to the presence of super-stoichiometric carbon atoms in its structure and the new superhard ceramics, which combines the parameters of hardness and fracture toughness, as well as composite materials based on specially synthesized nanocrystalline composite powders in the system Si-C .Scientific novelty of the results: A method for synthesis of nanocrystal powders in the form of a solid solution of carbon in silicon carbide by combining in a single process of SHS and precipitation of gas phase.Superhard ceramics was developed, which combines the high parameters of hardness and fracture toughness, and composite materials based on specially synthesized nanocrystal composite powders in the system Si-C. Superhard ceramics obtained by implementing the effect of dispersion hardening.
