SYSTEM FOR EFFECTIVE ABLATION OFONCO- AND BENIGN TUMORS
Purpose of the development:
Removal of malignant and begin tumors and their metastases in abdominal surgery and surgery of pelvic organs without preliminary histological analoysis of the biotissues.
The development stage readiness:
Tested experimental exploitation order
Description of the development: () The system noninvasivly defines the border between the tumor and healthy biotissue both in case of superficial and subsurface tumor location. The size of the tumor diagnosable by the system is comparable with the area of the measuring electrode. The system allows the distinguish tumor and healthy biotissue noninvasively on the bassis of definition of characteristic of the biotissue electric impedance during surgical intervention and to define characteristics of surgical impact by high-frequency current on the healthy biotissue surrounding the tumor, providing its effective ablation and minimum bleeding in the place of intervention. Diagnostics of the physiological state of the biotissue can be done in any clinical conditions, including heavy bleeding, presence of necrotizing biotissues and etc. Introducing of the system into medical institutions will increase oncological patients survival rate of five-year period by 10-15%.
