PLASMA VACUUM ELECTRO-TECHNOLOGY FOR POWDERED MATERIALS


Purpose of the development: Manufacture of catalysts and high-capacity compact capacitors, powder metallurgy, aerospace industry.

Advantages over analogues: Production of carbide-like and nitride-like materials that have better properties than the availible solid alloys. Creation of new composite materials. Decreased mass, dimensions and leakage currents of tantalic capacitors, their increased capacity.

Description of the development:

The plasma electrotechnology for treatment of refractory metals (W, Mo, Ta, Nb) and alloys on their basis allows to produce powdered materials with preset propertiess: high refining, divaricated surface of the particles and increased fluidity (pure and ultra-pure(99,999%), fine-dispersed and superdispersed fractions (with powder thickness less than 1 micrometer). Uniqueness of the plasma electrotecnology: decreasing the number of steges of chemical-metallurgical repartition of the treated materials, which reduces the cost of the final product; high intensity of initial metal powders refining to ensure high degree of their purification from different admixtures, including oxygen; optimal technogical modes which guarantee controllability of the materials processing and their practically full treatment.
