Purpose of the development: Designed for separation of biogas methane CH4 and carbon dioxide CO2.

Recommended application field: Areas of application: on the sources of biogas (eg, cattle-breeding complexes, landfill solid waste digesters ochisnyh structures), in agriculture, the food industry, in factories biological purification of polluted water.

Technical characteristic: Technical characteristics: - The performance of biogas - 5 Nm3; - The admixture of other components in the separation of methane and carbon dioxide ~ 4%; - Dimensions - 1700x1050x650; - Unit weight ~ 150 kg; - Capacity 2.7 Nm3 methane at P = 0.4 MPa; - The performance of carbon dioxide 1.8 Nm3 at P = 0.1 MPa.

Advantages over analogues: advantages: - Getting two commercial products: carbon dioxide and methane; - There is the possibility of sharing the separation unit biogas engine generator that runs on methane, which allows to obtain a third commercial product electricity; - Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere.

Biogas is produced by anaerobic digestion of the organic component of the waste. Biogas composition determined by the composition of recyclable waste and contains 40-60 % methane (CH4 ) , 60-40 % carbon dioxide (CO2 ) and hydrogen sulfide , nitrogen , oxygen, and other impurities , the amount of which is negligible. In separation technology laid pressure swing adsorption method . Separation of biogas based on the use of different concentrations of the components of biogas in the gas phase at the upper and lower levels of pressure in the adsorber due to various sorbed CH4 and CO2. Implementing the selection of the gas phase with the adsorber at the top level of pressure , we will be called a mixture rich in less sorbed component - methane , and at the bottom - more sorbed carbon dioxide. Adsorption and desorption occur at room temperature, which leads to short cycle times (a few minutes ) .
