The equipment allows to create a modified surface layer of material with significantly improved physicochemical properties. When processing of steels and alloys provided a unique opportunity to use multiple processes: nitriding, a powerful shock wave, ultrafast heating and cooling of the workpiece surface, leading to amorphization of the surface layer.
